Complete Warranty
Haddon Windows LLC, subject to all terms stated below, warrants to the original homeowner purchaser that its SecuraSeal Patio Door properly installed in a single-family home will be free from significant impairment of operation or usage caused by a defect in material or workmanship occurring as a direct result of the manufacturing process. On condition of receipt of proper submission of a claim under a validated warranty, Haddon Windows LLC, at its exclusive option, will either perform a repair; provide a new product part or new product, after having determined that the Haddon Windows product does not conform to the warranties contained herein. HADDON WINDOWS LLC SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION WITH RESPECT TO ANY ALLEGED PRODUCT DEFECT WITHOUT PROPER NOTICE FROM THE INDIVIDUAL HOMEOWNER AND OPPORTUNITY TO RESPOND.
The Haddon Windows L.L.C. ("Haddon Windows") warranty is made only to the original homeowner purchaser ("purchaser") at the address and date recorded on the attached Certificate of Registration or via the registration website at www.haddonwindows.com. In order to validate this warranty, within 30 days of the installation date the purchaser must fully complete the Certificate of Registration and mail it to: Haddon Windows LLC at 1211 Ford Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, or complete the registration on the Haddon Windows website. Haddon Windows makes no warranty, and sale shall be "AS IS," for product on which full and timely payment has not been made by the dealer or purchaser to Haddon, and for commercial, government, multi-family or other non-single family homeowner applications.
Glass Warranty: Haddon Windows warrants for a period of twenty (20) years after installation that, under conditions of normal use and service, the insulated glass unit will not develop material obstruction of vision as a result of film formation between the interior glass surfaces caused by failure of the hermetic seal (seal failure). Small spots, bubbles, marks, lint and scratches not exceeding applicable glass manufacturing specifications imposed by ASTM C 1036-06 will not constitute a defect under this warranty. Stress crack/pressure cracked glass shall be covered for six (6) months after installation. Haddon Windows at its sole option may provide insulated sash units as replacement.
Material Only: No labor or other costs are included and all such labor and/or installation shall be the exclusive responsibility of the purchaser. Haddon Windows reserves the right to discontinue or make change in any of its products. If the part or component originally installed is not available, Haddon Windows LLC shall have the right to substitute a part or component that, in Haddon Windows's sole discretion, is of equal quality or value.
Transferable Warranty: This warranty is transferable to the first subsequent buyer if the original purchaser sells the home within 10 years of the purchase date if the transfer is validated. To validate the transfer the transfer certificate must be submitted to Haddon Windows LLC, via US Postal Service, or via our website, within 30 days of sale of the property.
Claim Submission: Any claims for defects under this warranty must be submitted in writing, along with a copy of the proof of purchase prior to or upon expiration of the applicable warranty period and within ninety (90) days after any defect or basis for claim is discovered or should have been discovered. CLAIMS SUBMITTED AFTER 90 DAYS ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY AND SHALL BE DEEMED WAIVED. Written claims should be sent to Haddon Windows LLC, Warranty Claims, 1211 Ford Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Purchaser must ship prepaid any parts which he/she feels are defective. Haddon Windows may require you to supply pictures or other basis for support of the claim.
Installation and Maintenance: Proper installation of any window is critical to its ability to perform and remain trouble-free. Haddon Windows strongly suggests the purchaser carefully select a dealer and installer qualified and experienced enough to properly fit, install, and verify each patio door. The SecuraSeal™ locking system requires good installation including that verification that the door is square, for a proper lock. Only products installed according to good building practices and Haddon Windows' installation recommendations will be covered by this warranty. Adverse product conditions caused directly or indirectly by poor installation are not the responsibility of Haddon Windows. Proper care and maintenance is also important for long-term performance. Please read all instructions and guidance for proper care and maintenance on the Haddon Windows website. Improper care of your patio door may limit your coverage under this warranty. Adverse product conditions caused by improper maintenance are not the responsibility of Haddon Windows. Movable parts and weather-stripping are subject to wear and must be maintained.
Painting: SecuraSeal’s composite frame material Mikronwood® needs no painting. However, if you decide to paint the frame, please review the manufacturer’s recommendations and be sure to use a high quality low heat absorbing paint and follow MikronWood® recommendations. Certain colors, such as dark colors, and paint types absorb more heat and can damage the composite material. Problems arising from heat build up related to the paint, or to the improper application of the paint are not covered under warranty.
Condensation: This is a normal result of high humidity trapped on one side of an energy efficient window. You may see condensation occur with our windows naturally, due to the highly insulating quality of our windows. If so, either reduce the humidity or open the windows to allow the humidity to escape. Condensation does not imply a manufacturing defect and is not covered by this warranty.
Other Important Terms and Limitations: This warranty only covers manufacturing defects as specified herein and does not include defects or damage attributable to installation, age, normal weathering or defects or damages caused by accidents or fire, flood or other Acts of God, misuse, building settlement or structural failure of walls, negligence, forced entry, or any other causes or occurrences beyond Haddon Windows' control. This warranty does not cover any color migration or fading that may occur as a result of weathering.
Steel components are not guaranteed against rusting in immediate shore or coastal locations, due to high salt content in the air. Door finish warranty is warranted for one (1) year after purchase and door glass for five (5) years.
Haddon Windows does not represent or warrant that its windows conform to applicable laws, local ordinances, building codes or safety requirements, it being the sole responsibility of the purchaser to consult with its own advisors or professionals regarding conformance with the foregoing laws and requirements. THIS WARRANTY IS PURCHASER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY, IRRESPECTIVE OF LEGAL THEORY OR NEGLIGENCE BY HADDON WINDOWS. HADDON WINDOWS MAKES NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED OR SOLD BY IT. HADDON WINDOWS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY BEYOND THE TERMS STATED HEREIN INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE. No agent, employee, or representative of Haddon Windows has any authority to bind Haddon Windows to any affirmation, representation or warranty concerning Haddon Windows' products or parts, except as stated herein.
Haddon Windows' product performance specifications and certification results are derived from recognized industry standard tests and related mandatory requirements. To maintain consistency, Haddon Windows manufactures its products for sale utilizing the same processes and materials that are used in fabrication of product for testing. A range of tolerance is inherent in all manufacturing processes and as a result some variance may exist among individual product performance values.
Haddon warrants that for a period of one (1) year from the date of sale to the Customer that Insulating Glass Units-Stainless Steel Spacers meet the requirements of the Insulating Glass Certification Council ("IGCC") Class CBA, and ASTM E 2190 Standard Specification for insulating Glass Unit Performance and Evaluation.
When placed in the interior space between panes of glass noble gases such as argon and krypton can enhance the thermal performance of insulated glass units used in windows and doors. Given their nature, however, and the limitations of methods and materials reasonably available to achieve gas fill and promote gas retention, Haddon Windows does not warrant specific fill or retention levels beyond Haddon Windows' compliance with referenced certification criteria.
This warranty provides the purchaser specific legal rights. The purchaser may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
